Who am I?

I'm Tyler Choice, a certified meditation teacher, having completed Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach's Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program.

I'll be your mindful guide for this course!

What's the foundation of this teaching?

This mindfulness teaching was brought to the west by the branch of Buddhism known as Theravada Buddhism.

Vipassana is traditionally the focus on the cultivation of the mind of Insight.

Jon Kabat-Zinn calls mindfulness, “the applied art of conscious living.”

Course Review:

"I loved the way you shared the teachings in a thoughtful, relatable, natural, sincere and open way.. I can’t quite think of the right words at the moment but the way you shared felt clear, honest, truthful and tender. I felt that your care for the class and reverence and respect for the teachings and the depth of your lived experience shone through in the classes and space.

I felt there was a lot of integrity in how you shared the teachings, how you shared your experience and path with us. The teachings and the way you shared them were rich, kind, clear, gentle, beautiful, real. It was a balm to experience the classes and space. I felt calmer and inspired. Thank you.

Other things I loved about the classes and your teachings: the way you would pause and reflect and allow space. The beautiful choices of reference material. The sense of your own lived practice being shared.

I hope I’ll be able to attend any classes you offer in the future.

Thank you Tyler for creating calm, gentle, kind, clear, honest, soothing learning space where we could learn and practice mindfulness."
