The Psychological Profile of Hideaki Anno's Work Physically, Anno's father was missing a leg. Spiritually, Anno's father was missing a heart. The attempt to love his father for who he was drove Anno's search for beauty in imperfection. In this pursuit, Anno created characters that are beautiful in their pain and brokenness. One woman described Anno as being like a girl, and also a boy, the perfect mixture of both. Most describe him as absent or distant, always somewhere else. Yet another described him as something that reminded him of a terrorist. A fitting name for someone who does not fit into this world or think anything this world thinks. The Profile of Hideaki Anno Based on the common sentiment of many people I listened to, it is clear that people around Anno have an affection and fondness for his depression and sadness. In some way his sadness appears endearing and lovable. This is contrastable to Anno's sad and lovable character Shinji Ikari. To note, Shinji expresses a desperate need for others to acknowledge his existence. Constant sadness is learned when someone desires attention and acknowledgment for a simple reason: We don't receive attention when we are happy. I noticed this many years ago, when I am tired from working, I receive praise and respect from the locals. This is what makes up the image of Anno's profile, he appears to be sad and distant, while obsessed with work and nothing else. The Perspective of Hideaki Anno Hideaki Anno's perspective of life comes out through expression of his words, but the perspective behind them is unspoken. He describes doing the work he does because it is the most he can give to this world. He answers questions about why he does things with answers that reflect inspiring people with what is possible and human worth. But, the place his answers come from is an unspoken knowing and truth. It is nearly impossible to speak or write, because that place is not a statement. That place is an understanding that many statements can be spoken from. That understanding is too large of a size, it is the size of a being, because it is oneself. This is possible for an adult only when one has their spirit and also knows that they are their spirit. That spirit is not gained anywhere, it can only be lost. In my words, this means Anno is still alive. All of us at one time were ourselves, we were our spirit. Many people know their spirit, and they also recognize the voice of their spirit when they hear it. Yet incredibly few recognize that they are their spirit, they have never recognized the spirit is their own self. You can always tell any person who knows themselves as they express the same universal traits. They are always intending to give their all to this world. They are always seeking beauty. They are always aware of the necessity of giving inspiration. They are always encouraging possibility and potential. They always in their being understand certain sacred necessary things that must be upheld at all costs, unspoken but known. They always express these traits because they are from who the human spirit is. That eternal human spirit is inspiration itself, its nature is always reaching up, its nature is always pursuing possibility and potential. Its very nature is to reach. And that kind of reaching for possibility is also how spirit is accessed when we are away from it. This is why some people are always insisting on reaching for possibility. They know that anyone who reaches for possibility will make contact with their spirit. And there is nothing that could ever be more important, as nothing is as priceless as your own infinite spirit. This does not fit into a religion or an ideology, it comes before and without religions and ideologies. It doesn't work, because you are not a religion. It's only a matter of noticing it and recognizing that the human spirit is oneself. And moreso, remembering this and not forgetting it. Many people reach this understanding of themselves for a second, they catch a glimpse of it. But they let go of it, they forget it. So they get swallowed by the river of forgetfulness and never remember again. The Hidden Quality of Hideaki Anno Why does Hideaki Anno have his spirit? When I see a person - especially a living person - who has retained spirit, I must ask why. I must know why. In the case of Hideaki Anno, while many may not accept it, is so strikingly obvious that it is undeniable. It's becoming more undeniable as he gets older. Hayao Miyazaki said about him: "Anno is Anno and that's all he needs to be." A man said about Anno: 'He's basically a child in a 60-year-old's body. I think there was a time in his life where he tried to be mature, but he realized he couldn't.' - Paraphrased When you see this guy Anno sitting at a meeting, you can see it. He's a teenager in a 60-year-olds body. Now that's pretty weird. But it is the reason he is himself. Himself meaning, he still has his spirit. It may not be popular, and no religion I know of speaks of this, but when you die and become part of society, you die. It's also the reason why these people in the world are distant, seemingly alien, seemingly somewhere else. When someone describes Anno like a 'terrorist,' its because this guy is unrecognizable. He doesn't think the things other people think, he's somewhere else. And - with still having spirit - It's why Peter Pan can fly. If Peter Pan grew up, he'd lose his eternal spirit. And woe to the one who still has spirit but doesn't know it. I say Eternal Human Spirit because it is that inspirational human force which strives and reaches for possibility. It's not popular to use that name, but it is the most accurate name. Thank you for reading. Tyler Choice The Energy Factory (2/2) Our emotional processing system, if it were properly maintained, can do the job of processing emotion so quickly it appears instantaneous. This happens in nano-seconds or micro-seconds. This is not theory, this is what happens when the exit to the system is unblocked. I have experienced it, many others have experienced it, you have experienced it, and many live in it. Metaphorically the efficiently processing emotional processing system is called an “open...
Tyler Choice The Energy Factory (1/2) ↓ If the factory is clogged and dirty the energy cannot cycle through -and without energy properly powering the machine -I am not online. It is all about energy. Gurdjieff talked as though in metaphor about man as an energy factory. Using a metaphor grants one the ability to consider if something might be true, instead of being told it is true and blindly accepting it or unconsciously rejecting it. Gurdjieff’s metaphor is in one sense an overcomplicated...
